Marieke Oudejans is a film/tv producer and journalist from the Netherlands. In her first career she held senior policy and managerial positions with the Dutch Immigration Department. Her past work and broad travel experiences inspire her current film projects. In Los Angeles, she worked as Senior Press & Cultural Officer at the Dutch Consulate General, while studying Film Producing at UCLA and writing and producing for foreign media. She continues her busy mix of activities. She's a producer on two Dutch prime time TV shows, a journalist for magazines and newspapers, a correspondent for web tv, and a consultant for foreign film delegations. She recently directed, produced and/or coordinated ten short films for various US companies and associations, all while working in our documentary team and pursuing her personal film projects. Her ability to wear many hats has been a great resource for WATER WARS. Marieke is an award winning graduate of the UCLA MFA Producers Program and of the University of Amsterdam, where she received her MA in Political Science.
