Suzanne Bauman, Producer, Director, Editor, Writer, recently completed “The Writing Code,” a three hour television series for PBS about the nature and history of writing from ancient times to the internet, funded by the National Endowment for the Humanities and the National Science Foundation. Her feature documentary Shadow of Afghanistan”- twenty years in the making - premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival to stunning reviews.. “Jackie Behind the Myth,” a two-hour documentary special on Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, has been a best-seller for PBS and sold overseas to more than 20 countries. An Academy Award Nominee for “Against Wind and Tide: A Cuban Odyssey,” her films are distributed worldwide, including “Suleyman the Magnificent,” Cuba in the Shadow of Doubt,” “La Belle Epoque,” “The Artist Was a Woman,” Light of the Gods,” and “The Women of Summer,” For 3 years she was Supervising Producer of “Jack Hanna’s Animal Adventures” as well as a producer/director for “Art of the Western World” hosted by Michael Wood. She has taken crews all over the world –Costa Rica, Cuba, England, Egypt, France, Germany, Greece, Iran, Italy, Mexico, Nepal, Peru, The Philippines, Turkey, and throughout the United States
